Please be as specific as possible in describing the records being requested. Also, please note that your preferred method of delivery will only be accommodated if the custodian has the technological means and the integrity of the records will not be jeopardized by such method of delivery

This portal is used for requests for public records maintained by the Town of Guttenberg. This portal is NOT used by the Municipal Court, nor the School District. Please contact those entities to make a request.

Records Requests on this portal are public. Please do not include confidential information such as birthdates or Social Security numbers.

Once you submit your request, you will receive email notifications regarding the status of your request. If you are not receiving the email notifications, check your spam/junk folder.

In accordance with the State of New Jersey Records Retention Schedule, data stored in this portal is deleted after three years (no fee paid) or six years (fee paid) from the date of closure.

Tips

Be as specific as possible when identifying the public record. Provide a date range for the records you are seeking. For example, from January 1, 2024 to the date of the request.

It is not necessary to enter the same request multiple times for each applicable department. The Town will route your request to the appropriate custodian of record.
